CRESVE – CREating Share Value in Europe
CRESVE aims at improving existing knowledge, tools and professionals in managing creation of shared value. Creating Shared Value is a broad field that unifies such terms as business ethics, sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate citizenship, and social innovation— and is attracting more attention than ever before.
According with recent literature approach (Porter and Kramer, 2011), the Creation of Shared Value makes companies able to cooperate with stakeholders in solving social problems. Address a social problem is to possess the ability to solve a complex and multifaceted problem, in a way that is sustainable and effective. To do this it is necessary that those who govern and manage an organization possesses a certain sensibility. This allows CRESVE to narrow down the research activities to the adoption of Creating Shared Value approach that unifies SMEs, large firms (LF), public authorities (PA), social enterprises/NGOs/associations (SE/NGOs) and academia (A).
The basic concept underpinning the CRESVE research and training design was an idealistic model of how creation of shared value approach can be effectively set by organisations at various levels.
